Transfer your domain away from Godaddy

We have had a massive movement of people trying to get away from GoDaddy. Of course, GoDaddy doesn’t want to make it easy to leave so they don’t use the same “verbiage” as everyone else. In order to move your domain to a new registrar (preferably NameCheap) you need to get your EPP code from GoDaddy. Note that GoDaddy calls this your “Authorization Code” and they force you to confirm you want it by email.
Here’s how to do it:
- Log on to your GoDaddy account.
- Go to Domain Manager and select/click on your domain name.
- Look for Authorization Code and click the link beside it, “Send by Email“.
